Pregnancy Update: Week 24

My 24 week update is way overdue (we're almost at 25 weeks today already), but after a busy week of travels for work I'm excited to share with you where we're at!

Symptoms: I'm actually feeling quite good!  A friend suggested an all-natural iron supplement, which I'm now taking on top of my daily green smoothies and mounds of red meat and spinach, so I'm definitely feeling much better.  I do have a lot of (non-serious) aches and pains, though - I must be getting old, ha! ;)

Baby: We had our anatomy sonar at 22 weeks and I'm extremely thankful to report that the doctor is very satisfied and that Brother Bear is healthy and growing well!  He even gave us a little smile over the sonar screen - I absolutely can't wait to kiss those cheeks!

A gorgeous smile from Brother Bear.

Running: Does reading running magazines count...?  [On a completely random note, Will and Baby Girl did their very first stroller run together this week while I was away for business - my heart sings! :) ]

Weight gain: I've gained a total of 8.5 kg (18.7 pounds) to date.  Not too sure if that's a lot or not, and not too worried about it either.  Brother Bear is healthy and I'm eating healthfully, so I'm happy.

Food aversions/cravings: Still none!  I must confess that I do a little happy dance while I eat my twice weekly portions of Lindt Dark Chocolate truffles, though - Wednesdays and Saturdays (the official chocolate days in our house) can't come quickly enough, ha!  But other than that we're eating pretty normal-for-us, healthy, everyday food.

Bump pic: I get mixed comments on my bump - some are amazed at how "small" it is, while others (friends, thankfully) burst out laughing about how huge it is!  Strangely enough that doesn't bother me either - I really must be getting old :)...

I must say that I'm really enjoying being pregnant this time around (despite the aches and pains) - can't wait for summer to finally roll around so that I can rock those maternity dresses :) !

  1. Great! As long as you are healthy everything is fine. "Die tyd vlieg!"

I love hearing from you!
