Symptoms: Feeeeeeed meeeeee! My appetite has quadrupled, ha! Will only laughs and shakes his head when he finds me in the kitchen at 10:30 a.m. busy grabbing lunch... Still keeping it healthy, though - trying to eat smaller, healthy meals more frequently in an attempt to try and manage the nausea. Eish, only a pregnant chick knows the feeling!
Baby: Our next doctor's appointment will only be at 8 weeks, so in the meantime we're religiously popping our folic acid.
Running: Not gonna lie: Last week's runs were hard. The running part in itself is actually going very well, though: No aches or pains or discomfort - for which I'm very thankful. The hard part for me is getting my morning sick self out the door in the first place! But I always feel better when I get back from a run, so I'm going to try and keep at it. Here's our runs for the past week:
- Tuesday: 5.0 km (solo run with Baby Junior);
- Thursday: 4.35 km (solo run with Baby Junior); and
- Sunday: 5.03 km (solo run with Baby Junior).
Weight Gain: Slow and steady.
- Last week: 100 g;
- Total: 300 g.
Food aversions/cravings: Still none. Although beetroot is starting to sound like a rather appealing option...
Bump pic: Nothing to report yet. :) Instead I'll show you a picture of Will and Baby Girl at the funfair this past weekend - we had a blast [Baby Girl wasn't a big fan of the horses - the little cars were more her thing]!
Hope you have a wonderful week! Wednesday is a public holiday here in S.A.! *Happy Dance*
Morning sickness and running are tricky! I hope yours clears up soon. Mine was only bad until about 10-12 weeks.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried beetroot, except pickled! I bet it would be good crisp.
Nice running!!
Lovely pic on the carousel. Little lady looks a bit nervous :)
I've never been pregnant so I can't relate much to what you're going through, but I just wanted to say that I think it's awesome that you're keeping up your healthy eating and running (when possible) during your pregnancy! I think a lot of people, myself probably included, would use being pregnant and the inevitable weight gain as an excuse to eat whatever they wanted whenever they want.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! :)
Remembering when I brought my children to the carousel long time ago, beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteyes, keep on running but take it easy.
Have a good week end.
I remember the morning sickness/eating quandry so well! Baby girl's expression on that horse is priceless!
