Is "bonking" to cyclists what "hitting the wall" is to runners? Because if it is, I'm pretty sure I bonked on my run today. Yes, bonked. Because I know for a fact that there is no wall at 3.5 km.

I can pinpoint exactly where the bonking came from: New Year's Eve. For the first time in five years Will and I (voluntarily) stayed up until 23:00 p.m. (And with "stayed up" I mean exactly that: We simply stayed up. No partying. No loud music. No dancing. I know - we're wild like that). And let me tell you this: It was a bad, bad idea. We've been struggling to recover ever since. Note to self: On 31 December 2013, go to bed at 21:00, as usual, and sleep through the festivities, as usual. Your system prefers it that way.
So with that, our new year is off to a roaring start. Things can only get better, right ;)?
Sound like me! I never stay up for New Year and we are wild just like you :) Have a super 2013!
ReplyDeleteHi! Found your blog through a comment on Kayla's ;)
ReplyDeleteI am totally laughing at this, because I had to work SO hard to stay up late on NYE too, and I am not sure it was worth it. And you can totally bonk a run!
Haha! I was in bed by 9:30pm or 21:30 that night. Such party animals! :D
