Weekend Breakaway

The three of us spent the weekend doing all kinds of things we love... in Jo'burg!

Will did the Mogale Spring Classic cycle race on Saturday morning - a challenging, hilly 108 km course in and around Krugersdorp (Mogale).  He finished in the top 25 in just over three hours - go Will!

Waiting for Dad at the finish line.
Go, Dad!

We stayed at the most amazing BnB - excellent service, top quality facilities, and breakfast fit for a king.  Such a privelage!

Love this place!

The rest of our Saturday was a pretty laid back affair - Will rested his legs after his cycle race and Mama rested her's for her road race the following day.  While we watched the Boks vs. New Zealand game on television (aijaijai, Springboks!), Baby Girl was hard at work sprouting Tooth Number Two - hurray!

After a gorgeous night's rest (Baby Girl is such a good sleeper!), I got ready to run what turned out to be one of the best races I've ever done - the Nike We Run Jozi 10 k.  I'm still sort of at a loss for words on this one - it really was a race unlike any other.  And I loved every single minute of it.  Race report to follow soon!

  1. Sounds like a great weekend. I heard the Jozi race was very good with many runners.

  2. A good weekend for all concerned, by the sound of it, with something for everyone. Look forward to your race report.

  3. The picture of baby girl on the bed is so cute! Precious!

  4. Baby girl is toooooo beautiful. A great week end.

I love hearing from you!
