"Grab yourselves a foam roller and a mat". Ahhhhh. Music to my ears. Somehow, after a horrendously chaotic day, I just wouldn't have had the mental oomph to grab the usual weighted bar and set of dumbbells anyway. It was as if the instructor had read my mind.
And there, somewhere between the foam rolling, the downward dogs and laying on our backs, breathing deeply with our eyes closed for what must have been a whole two glorious minutes, all the stress of the day's chaos completely evaporated.
It was, quite simply, heaven on a yoga mat.
