Our Voting Run

Yesterday was National Election Day in South Africa and, along with thousands upon thousands of South Africans, we headed to a voting station to make our crosses!

Yes, we ran there.  And yes, we were the sweatiest citizens in the line (ahem).  Apologies, fellow voters.

You know how you feel all hard core and amazing after a run?  Well, running to go cast your vote feels twice as good.  Highly recommended.

Mission accomplished!

South Africans: Did you cast your vote yesterday?  Ever consider doing a voting run?

  1. I didn't vote, looking at the prelim results, i don't regret. one day, when we have a much stronger opposition to the ANC, or the ANC cleans it's act, I'll do a voting run :)

  2. Awesome!! I think it's so important to get out and vote, and combining it with a run is a great way to do it. :)

  3. What a fun way to vote! I should consider doing that here...my voting station is only a half mile away from my house and also happens to be where I went to school when I was little. Kind of fun to go there when I'm all "grown up" now :)

    1. I highly recommend it, Hailey - best way to vote!

I live quite close to my old school too - love driving past there and remembering stuff from what feels like many, many moons ago!
