Gone Fishing

After months and months of looking forward to it, our time has finally come - we're on leave!  Ahhhhhhhh.

We survived the eight hour trip on Day One to spend the night on Will's family's old family farm near Oudtshoorn, which still belongs to his uncle and aunt.  The area is breathtakingly beautiful, with mountains and vineyards as far as the eye can see.

Meiringspoort, en route to Oudtshoorn.

Buffelskloof - Will's family's old family farm.

Beauty as far as the eye can see.

I just had to go for a run while we were on the farm - how can one not run in such beauty?!  Baby Girl and I therefore got up at 05:30 a.m. on Day Two and went for a glorious run on the farm's dirt roads.  I must confess that there was a fair bit of huffing and puffing going on - I've been quite a slacker when it comes to running for the past week or two.  But the views made the effort more than worth it - what a perfect way to start off any (holi)day!

The view on our early morning run.

We have a whole week and a half of rest and beautiful views to look forward to - thankful for every single minute.
