My verdict

I love these wipes - it's free from all the nasty stuff (very important to this mama!) and doesn't irritate Baby Girl's skin one bit.  The wipes are really moist and smell clean and fresh - ideal for in-between bath time nappy changes.  It also comes in an easy-seal pack, which I found keeps its sealing ability right until the last wipe in the packet has been used.

For me the only down side to this product is the fact that it tends to be a bit pricey when compared to other, locally produced wipes available in South Africa - it retails between approximately R45.00 and R64.00 per 64-wipe pack.  However, in our home we're limiting the use of wipes to dirty diapers and travel time only, which stretches the life of each pack and, to me, makes the extra cents worth it.

All in all I found Jackson Reece Herbal Natural Baby Wipes to be an effective, good quality natural product.  To the South African readers out there, it can be ordered online here, here and here (among other places).

  1. I struggle with a sensitive skin and I get eczema on my hands which is aggravated by many baby products.

I worked at a daycare for two years and while working there I got to know quite a few different baby products.

Unfortunately some of them (even the ones that were designed for sensitive skin) made my eczema worse.

I am expecting my first baby now and as I only have 7 weeks to go until Baby arrives, I am looking for products that I can use for my baby that will not irritate my skin and also be safe for my baby seeing that he has the chance of inheriting my sensitive skin.

Unfortunately experience has taught me that when a product says it is good for sensitive skin it is not necesarily so.

I would love to try out your products.
