Reminders

Sometimes we all need a little reminding.  Not the neon pink Post-it Note kind that reminds us of meetings or chores, but rather that gentle nudge in the ribs to refresh our memory about lessons learnt in days gone by.

This week my reminder was about taking things for granted.  Don’t get me wrong – I know that I know that I know that everything we have is Grace and Grace alone, but somehow I just needed to be reminded once again that even the smallest things require a thankful heart.

This week, for the first time in almost 15 (long) weeks, I felt good enough to exercise.  But, equally important, I felt good enough to actually look forward to exercising.  Boy, and did that feel good!  Fifteen weeks of feeling like a train wreck just reminded me again that being able to exercise and be fit and healthy is a gift – something to be appreciated and enjoyed.  Lesson learnt.

Oh, and on a lighter note, I also learnt one other very important lesson this week: Pregnancy and endorphins were meant to go together!

  1. It's easy to forget how lucky we are to be able to engage in so many physical activities! I realized it when I got injured last year. I will never EVER take the ability I have to exercise for grated again!
