Royalty in a bottle

Since discovering the joys of almond nut butter a while ago, I must admit: I.  JUST.  CAN'T.  STOP.  The stuff is addictive!  Need a way to make every single sandwich taste like a cross between a doughnut and creamy, delicious condensed milk?  Simply add almond nut butter, honey and cheese, and voila!  And don't skimp on anything.  Satisfaction guaranteed...

However, since I now live at least 280 km from the nearest store selling my fix, I've been looking forward to my home trips with childlike anticipation.  Along with seeing all those near and dear to me, it meant one other thing: Re-stocking time for all things almond.  Hmmmmmmmm!  You can imagine the degree of devastation and disappointment then when, during my last home trip, all the stores selling almond nut butter were out.  Every single one.  Man, what a blow.  I was forced to revert to the net and order some online, which, of course, cost me an arm and a leg, plus another few days of drooling in anticipation.  It, did, however, get here eventually, and I was a happy camper.

In light of all this, this past weekend, Willie, my hero for ever and ever, made my day week month by surprising me with a whole tub of creamy deliciousness.  Is he amazing or what?!  And, what's more, he took me to the same store where he discovered the cherished awesomeness to stock up on an additional tub for the month.  Contented sigh...

Royalty in a bottle...  Yes, it seriously is their slogan!
If almond butter sandwiches isn't your thing, I thought I'd share a recipe for almond butter ice cream that I found on Barney Butter's Facebook page that you'll simply love.  It is to die for.  Try it - you'll love it forever!

My version of Barney Butter Banana Nice-cream

2 Frozen Bananas;
1 Cup of Almond Milk; and
2 Tablespoons of Almond Nut Butter.

Blend everything together until smooth and ENJOY!!
